Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Keybind, a desktop application for Windows and macOS published by Stanbren LLC ("we," "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
The license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use Keybind on machines you control. The free app works locally with no account. A Pro subscription adds the cloud-connected features described on the pricing page.
Your automation is yours
Scripts you write, modules you build, and configurations you create belong to you. Keybind runs them on your machine; we don't claim ownership of your work.
Acceptable use
Don't use Keybind to break the law, distribute malware, or interfere with other people's systems. Because scripts run with the permissions you approve, you're responsible for what you run. Full rules: Acceptable Use Policy →
Privacy Policy
Keybind is built local-first. The core app, including keybinds, scripting, the Scheduler, and clipboard history, runs entirely on your machine and requires no account.
What stays on your machine
- Voice recognition is 100% on-device. Your audio never leaves the machine.
- Bring-your-own AI keys are encrypted locally and never uploaded, even under cloud sync.
- Your scripts, modules, and settings live locally unless you turn on cloud sync.
What we handle for cloud features
If you create an account for Pro, we process your email and billing details to run your subscription. If you enable Everywhere Mode, your configuration and script library are synced through our servers so they follow you between machines.
Managed AI
When you use Keybind's managed AI instead of your own key, the text of your request is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We don't use it to train models.
Refund Policy
All sales are final. Because the full app is free forever, you can evaluate everything except the Pro cloud features before you pay a cent.
You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time. When you cancel, Pro stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, and it doesn't renew after that. We don't offer prorated or partial refunds.
Marketplace Agreement
The marketplace lets creators publish and sell modules that install one-click into Keybind. This agreement covers publishing.
Publishing
You keep ownership of the modules you publish and are responsible for their content and behavior. Modules are distributed as signed, encrypted .kbm packages. Don't publish anything malicious, infringing, or that requests capabilities it doesn't need.
Payouts
Paid modules are sold through the marketplace. After payment-processing fees, 70% of each sale goes to you and 30% to the platform. Payouts run monthly, with no minimum payout threshold and no listing fees. Modules published by Keybind itself are platform revenue. Admin and Insider accounts can claim a paid module without payment; no other account can.
