Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Stanbren LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Stanbren," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the KeyBind website, desktop application, Module Marketplace, and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide.
- Account information — collected through our third-party identity/authentication provider when you register, such as your name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
- Payment information — when you subscribe or transact, our third-party payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full payment card numbers; we receive limited transaction data (such as status, amounts, and the last digits of a card).
- Seller information — if you sell Modules, information required to onboard you for payouts, which may include tax and identity/verification details collected by our payment processor.
- Content you store — Scripts, settings, and configurations you sync to cloud storage.
- Communications — information you provide when you contact support or otherwise communicate with us.
Information collected automatically.
- Usage and device data — such as feature usage, app version, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, and diagnostic/log data.
- Cookies and similar technologies — on our websites, as described in Section 6.
AI feature data.
- Prompts and related inputs — when you use AI-assisted features (such as KSL Script generation), your prompts and related context are processed to generate a response.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- authenticate you and secure your Account;
- process subscriptions, purchases, and seller payouts;
- provide AI-assisted features;
- sync and back up your Scripts and settings where enabled;
- operate the Marketplace, including transactions between buyers and sellers;
- communicate with you about the Service, including service and transactional messages;
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. How We Share Information
We share information with:
- Service providers (processors) who help us operate the Service, including:
- payment processing (subscriptions, purchases, and seller payouts); - identity and authentication; - hosting and infrastructure; - AI inference providers that process your AI prompts; and - analytics and error monitoring, where used.
- Sellers and buyers, to the limited extent necessary to complete Marketplace transactions and payouts. > See Section 4 regarding how transaction details are shared with sellers.
- Legal and safety recipients, when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Stanbren, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money. If any sharing is considered a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under applicable law, you may opt out as described in Section 8.
4. Marketplace Transactions and Sellers
When you purchase or acquire a Module, we and our payment processor process the transaction and calculate seller payouts. Sellers receive information necessary to account for their sales and payouts (such as aggregate sales and payout amounts).
Sellers do not receive your identity solely because you acquired their Module, and, except as needed for payouts, tax, fraud prevention, support, or legal compliance, sellers are not provided with your personal contact details. The specific mechanics of how acquisitions are reported to sellers are described in the Marketplace & Seller Agreement.
5. AI Processing
When you use AI-assisted features, your prompts and related inputs are transmitted to third-party AI inference providers to generate a response. These providers process the data on our behalf to return output to you. We select providers intended to support our operation of the Service; however, their processing is also governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Do not submit sensitive personal information, credentials, or confidential data you do not want processed by an AI provider.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. Where required by law, we request consent for non-essential cookies.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your Account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. We retain transaction and payout records as required by tax and financial regulations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to opt out of certain uses or sharing. Residents of U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws — such as California and others — may have specific rights under those laws.
The Service is intended for and priced for users in the United States and other jurisdictions where we make it available, and is not directed to the European Union, EEA, or United Kingdom. If you nonetheless access the Service from a location with additional data-protection rights, we will honor applicable rights to the extent they apply.
To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@keybind.net. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. Module distribution uses signing to support integrity. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for backing up important content.
10. International Data Transfers
We operate internationally, and information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to or integrate third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by updating the "Last updated" date or notifying you). Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
